NEW FEATURED PROGRAM IN THE UNITED STATES

In the spring of 2022, WFI held our pilot internship presentation by Ygnacio Valley High School as they joined our Georgetown and Lynn University teams for "Women’s Rights and Education in Afghanistan" as part of our Light of Afghanistan programs.

Most of the high school students are newcomers to the United States and this program provided meaningful engagement with university team mentors in the U.S., and an arts project they could share and express through their unique talents.

In 2024, WFI will continue working with newcomer students again at Ygnacio Valley High School in partnership with Woven Teaching on a film project and human right study in the U.S. and Afghanistan.
